Ponsel Android ini didukung oleh tenaga CPU 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255, penyimpanan 1,1 GB, RAM 768 mb, begerak dengan sistem operasi Android 2.3. Untuk keperluan fotografi HTC Desire S dilengkapi dengan kamera 5 megapiksel, mendukung 720p HD video recording. Layar yang luas 3,7 inci dengan resolusi 800 x 480 dengan teknologi super LCD.
