In a few months, low-cost airline JetBlue Airways will begin direct flights from New York City to Paris.
JetBlue said in a press release that the new service’s launch is scheduled for June 29. Tickets for the daily flights between John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) in New York and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) in France went on sale Tuesday, according to the airline.

“We are delighted to continue to disrupt the transatlantic market and offer business and leisure customers traveling to and from Paris an opportunity to experience our highly acclaimed Mint and core products in a market that has suffered from high prices from legacy airlines for far too long.” That’s what JetBlue CEO Robin Hayes said.

Through Thursday, U.S.-origin passengers can buy round-trip tickets on JetBlue’s “core” seats from JFK to CDG for as low as $479, the airline said. Tickets in the Mint reclining seat offer had a starting price of $1,899.

The price offer is “valid until 3/9/23 for departure 9/10-12/8/23 and return 9/17-12/13/23,” with additional requirements that it must be round-trip and involve a Saturday night stay, according to JetBlue’s website.

There is also a ticket offer for passengers coming from Paris.
The carrier had previously indicated in November that it planned to add the Paris flight.

JetBlue’s unveiling of the Paris route comes about 18 months after it started its first transatlantic route, JFK to London Heathrow. Nonstop flights from Boston to London were introduced last year.

On its website, JetBlue said “service from Boston” to Paris was “on the horizon.”
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport had over 57 million passengers in 2022.
