Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez pulled the plug on a mansion they were trying to buy – but with good reason – because the new one they want is much nicer … and twice as expensive.
Real estate sources tell TMZ … the couple is currently in foreclosure on a massive property in Pacific Palisades, the same neighborhood where they were just in foreclosure on another house … only to reverse course at the last minute, as we first reported Sunday.
This new crib is a total palace…whereas the mansion they just saved was worth about $34M, but this one they now have their sights on is valued at a whopping $64M!
The price is certainly steep, but it might be worth it when you consider everything it comes with—including 8 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, and 16,000 square feet of fortress on a 1.13-acre lot. Yes … it’s huge — and that’s not including everything else inside.
Ben and Jen’s soon-to-be new home comes with an 800-square-foot fitness center, a professional media room, a game room, a spacious backyard, and a resort-style pool/spa with a fire pit area. There is a completely separate guest house which has its own Japanese-style bathtub.
And let’s not get started on the views… of course, they are canyon side and to die for.
Remember, this is the property Bennifer recently visited in person … and our sources tell us they’ve been stopping by often for eyeball changes they might want to make once the sale goes through. They often do, BTW — even in the other PP house they got rid of.
Oh, and if you’re wondering how Ben/Jen can afford such an expensive pillow — aside from just being filthy rich — we’ve got the answer for that, too. Our sources say Jen’s famous Bel-Air estate, which has been on the market for a minute, is also now in escrow with a potential buyer for $39M.
Add to that fact Ben recently sold his own Pacific Palisades mansion for about $30 million, and they have plenty of money for the new crib.
Welcome to celebrity properties, folks!
