When it comes to wardrobe malfunctions, a slip of the pen is better than a nip slip.
Jenna Ortega walked the red carpet at the “Scream VI” premiere with a blue ink stain on her dress at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York City on Monday night.
The “Wednesday” actress, 20, was reportedly signing autographs at the star-studded premiere when a blue Sharpie made contact with her couture.
“The pen stain takes me OUTTT,” one fan tweeted of fashion faux pas, while another added“I BET SHE IS SUCH A GREAT FOOD RN.”
Despite the gaffe, Ortega appeared unfazed and confidently posed for pictures on the carpet, despite having a noticeable stain on her outfit.
The Netflix star looked stylish in his menswear-inspired Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture look, which resembled a deconstructed tuxedo.
She completed the look with black heels and jewelery from Tiffany & Co, along with a bright red lip.
It’s no surprise the horror-flick favorite was unfazed by the ink when she posed for an Instagram photo covered in fake blood last November.
And just like the acting roles Ortega takes on, her style also leans toward the creepy side. She wore a memorable black lace dress and matching veil to the premiere of “Wednesday” in November 2022.
Ortega has left her mark on the horror genre since she started in Hollywood. Along with her role in “Scream IV,” she starred in “American Carnage” and “X.”
“I never want to be cast, but I have enormous respect for the horror genre,” she told People in December 2022. “It’s incredibly hard for me to turn down a good horror script, and I’ve been lucky enough to do a lot of it in recent years.”
Ortega has also taken Instagram by storm. Page Six reported last year that the actress gained 10 million new Instagram followers in the days after “Wednesday” hit Netflix. As of Tuesday, she has a whopping 40 million followers on the platform.
