Scheana Shay defended her affair with Eddie Cibrian after fans called her out for being hypocritical amid “Scandoval.”
The “Vanderpump Rules” star took to Instagram on Sunday to support BFF Ariana Madix amid news that her longtime boyfriend, Tom Sandoval, cheated on her with his “VPR” co-star Raquel Leviss.
“Always got your back! 👊🏼 #TeamAriana,” Shay, 37, captioned a snap with Madix, drawing mixed reactions from her followers.
“Glad who had @brandiglanvilles (back),” one troll commented, referencing Shay’s previous fling with Cibrian, who was still married to Brandi Glanville and reportedly also had an affair with Leann Rimes when they got together.
“So quick to team up but let’s not forget you walked in @raquelleviss shoes @scheana.”
Shay quickly shot back, writing, “I don’t remember having an affair with my best friends knowingly, but off!”
During the 2013 pilot for the Bravo series, Shay admitted to going on a few dates with Cibrian, but didn’t share an exact timeline. However, she later claimed that she “stopped talking” to the actor after finding out he was married.
Cibrian, 49, also famously cheated on the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum with Rimes, 40, whom he went on to marry in 2011.
Shay has been very outspoken on social media ever since Page Six confirmed that Leviss and Sandoval had been having a “full blown affair” for months.
After unfollowing Leviss on social media, the reality TV star tweeted: “Every morning when I wake up I realize it wasn’t just a nightmare. It’s real. 😭💔 #TeamAriana.”
Not only that, but sources told Page Six that Shay got into a “heated confrontation” with Leviss on Wednesday night after learning about the shocking affair.

“After taping ‘Watch What Happens Live,’ Scheana and Raquel went out drinking with friends,” an insider told Page Six.
“At some point during the night, Scheana lost Raquel and then found her outside the bar on the phone with Ariana, who Scheana could hear was crying.”
After Shay – who previously defended Leviss’ controversial romance with co-star Tom Schwartz amid his divorce from Katie Maloney – asked for an explanation, the 28-year-old called it quits on her affair with Sandoval.
After the conversation, another source told Page Six that the ladies’ “friendship is over.”
“Scheana is done with Raquel after she betrayed Ariana,” the insider revealed. “Right now, Scheana is fully focused on supporting Ariana.”
While it’s unclear if cameras were rolling for the heated exchange, they did capture Madix and Sandoval’s tense conversation about his affair — which is set to air at the end of season 10.
The pair tried to hash things out at their shared home in Los Angeles on Friday, but insiders say the 37-year-old left Sandoval, 39, feeling “gaslit”.
“He gave her multiple excuses as to why he was never going to cheat,” the insider told us, noting that he didn’t want it to affect her “mental health.”
Despite the difficult breakup, Madix has confided in her “Pump Rules” friends — including Shay, Katie Maloney, Lala Kent and show alum Kristen Doute — for support.
