According to a report from THR, the Top Gun and Mission Impossible star loved The Flash so much that he called director Andy Muschietti to praise it.
The story started when Cruise had a meeting with Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav, who reportedly mentioned to Cruise how great The Flash was. Cruise asked to see the film, and Zaslav undertook to have an advance copy of the film sent to Cruise’s home in Beverly Hills. Shortly after Cruise finished filming, he reached out to Muschietti.
According to THR’s sources, Cruise called The Flash something like, “everything you want in a movie” and added that “this is the kind of movie we need now.”
Tom Cruise received plenty of praise from the likes of Quentin Tarantino and Steven Spielberg for Top Gun: Maverick and its role in saving the box office, so it’s nice to see the star sending some of the love back.
