Gina Rodriguez was spotted for the first time since giving birth to her first child on a walk with her newborn in Los Angeles, California on Saturday afternoon.
As she enjoyed a leisurely stroll, the 38-year-old Jane the Virgin star wore a white baby harness strapped in front of her, holding her newborn close.
The first-time mother kept a firm grip on her little one’s back and could be seen looking down at her infant, who she kept bundled up under a white blanket embroidered with farm animals.
For her casual outing, the Golden Globe winner wore a black t-shirt, leggings, a pair of Nike sneakers, glasses and her wavy brunette locks in a low ponytail.
She and her husband Joe Locicero have not publicly announced the arrival of their infant, whose gender and name remain unknown.
Rodriguez, who first announced she was expecting her 38th birthday in July, was last seen out and about with her baby bump on January 25.
“This birthday hits differently,” she captioned a video of herself holding up a positive pregnancy test.
Gina’s announcement video opened with a sweet shot of herself and Joe kissing while out in nature with their dogs, followed by a clip of them snuggling and nuzzling their heads in the open with a snowy mountain in it remove.
Gina is best known for playing the title role in the acclaimed CW series Jane The Virgin from 2014-2019.
It was in 2016 that the two met on set, and in 2018 she revealed that they were engaged. The lovebirds got married in 2019.
Joe has tried a variety of professions, including acting and modeling, and he has even worked as an MMA fighter.
In January 2016, Gina confessed on The Ellen DeGeneres show that her time starring on Jane The Virgin had given her baby a fever.
“I feel like they’re bringing the baby (who plays her son) up to me and my ovaries are like, ‘Ahhhh, come here baby!'” she joked to the host.
At the time, she said she was considering adoption to avoid “the whole process” that comes with pregnancy.
‘I want one. So bad. I do, but I don’t want the whole process,’ she admitted. “I just want one to come like the stork call, don’t you?”
Elsewhere in their chat, she joked that she should never work with crying babies because a new baby actor would be replaced when the one she was holding started crying.
She starred in Jane The Virgin, a woman who accidentally gets the wrong procedure at her gynecologist’s office where she is artificially inseminated.
She initially can’t believe she could be pregnant since she’s a virgin, and even after coming to terms with the big life change, she still has to navigate her relationship with her longtime boyfriend and the biological father of her child.
The show was a hit with critics and earned Gina a 2015 Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series Comedy or Musical.
