Buckingham Palace is preparing for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to attend the upcoming coronation of King Charles III.
Palace staff have begun “organising logistics for the historic occasion” and “have been instructed to include the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in their program for May 6,” sources told the Daily Mail on Thursday.
However, “there has been no word” on whether the couple has formally accepted the invitation.
“Harry and Meghan are being involved in all the planning … the cars, the seating, the dining arrangements, everything,” an insider told the paper.
“Nobody knows for sure if that means they’ve definitively agreed – of course it could be if they do – but it’s clearly not a ‘no’.”
The source added: “The staff are certainly working in anticipation of their arrival. Those kinds of arrangements have to be made well in advance.”
Last week, a spokesman for Harry, 38, and the “Suits” alum, 41, confirmed they had received invitations to Charles’ coronation via email, adding: “An immediate decision on whether the Duke and Duchess will attend will not be disclosed. by us at this time.”
Charles, 74, ascended to the throne after his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, died last September. She was 96.
The monarch is set to be formally crowned on May 6, a date fans believe will cause conflict for the Sussexes as it falls on their son Archie’s 4th birthday.
Tensions have been high between the royal family and Harry and Markle after the Invictus Games founder and his wife stepped back from their royal duties in 2020.
In addition, Harry released his bombshell memoir, “Spare,” which detailed his strained relationship with his older brother, Prince William, and their father.

In an extract from the book, the father-of-two wrote that Charles often made jokes about Harry’s “real father”.
“Dad liked to tell stories and this was one of the best in his repertoire. He would always end with a burst of philosophizing… Who knows if I really am the Prince of Wales? Who knows if I’m even your real father?” he wrote in the bestseller.
Harry added: “He would laugh and laugh, although it was a remarkably unfunny joke, given the rumor that was circulating just then that my real father was one of Mummy’s former lovers: Major James Hewitt. One reason for this rumor was Major Hewitt’s flaming ginger hair, but another cause was sadism.”
The former British army captain also recalled a time when William, 40, allegedly got physical with him during an argument in which the Prince of Wales called Markle “difficult”, “rude” and “abrasive”.
“It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripped my necklace and he knocked me to the floor,” he wrote.
“I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, and the pieces cut into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then I got up and asked him to come out.”
The royal family has not publicly addressed Harry’s book.
