Pete Davidson went from lounging by the beach one day to crashing on the streets of LA the next … and his girlfriend was with him both times … TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell us Pete and Chase Sui-Wonders was involved in a car accident Saturday night around 11:00 p.m. Our sources say he was behind the wheel of a Mercedes and speeding through the Flats neighborhood of Bev Hills.
For some reason, we’re told he lost control of the vehicle … which jumped a curb, took out a fire hydrant, and then proceeded to smash into the side of a nearby house … dragging across the lawn and left skid marks on the grass.
Based on photos of the crash scene obtained by TMZ, it doesn’t appear that Pete entered the property … but our sources say he hit it and caused damage. Fortunately, no one was hurt – be it outside or inside the home. However, the police were called and they responded.
We’re told the preliminary understanding is that drugs and alcohol were not involved here, but an investigation is currently underway. Our sources also say no arrests were made at the scene, nor were Pete and Chase cited … at least not right now.
Unclear what kind of interaction the two stars might have had with the homeowners, but you’d imagine insurance will be involved for this one…at least. We’ve reached out to both of their reps for further comment … so far, no word back.
It’s pretty crazy that Pete and Chase were back in LA for such a short turnaround…remember, they were literally just photographed in Hawaii earlier that day (Saturday) and enjoyed the beach together — and they didn’t seem in any rush to get back.
They must have left almost immediately after being snapped by the paps because a flight from the islands to LA takes a good 5 hours or so. Looks like they were eager to be out as soon as they touched down. Pete even presented at the Kids’ Choice Awards last night!
Jet lag, man…it can take a toll on even the most jet-lagged of us. Stay safe, everyone.
